Ivory King/Chinook Salmon (1lb.) |
|
Ivory King is just like the Red King except that it is Ivory in color. Salmon turn orange due to what they eat, such as shrimp and kreel. Some salmon decide not to eat these things and stay Ivory in color. It has the same richness of Omega-3 oils as the Red King, but is slightly milder tasting. It's my personal favorite! Characteristics
The Ling Cod is a voracious predator, feeding on various large fishes, crustaceans, and mollusks from Kodiak Island, Alaska, to Punta San Carlos, Baja California. It is prized as a sport and commercial fish, and makes for excellent eating. Ling Cod can sometimes have green colored fillets. They're excellent, and will cook white. Some people won't buy the greenish fillets, but they're outstanding and many experienced seafood eaters prefer them that way.
